Toddlers and Hot Weather

My little boy is nearly 2 and here in England we've had 30 degrees plus heat. Any other time he's coped fine with the warm weather but he's never experienced temperatures lime this before. I'm a bit concerned because all he wants to do is sleep. He hasn't napped for a good 4 months now so this isn't like him. How does everybody else's babies/toddlers cope in the heat?! X

Ice lollies, naps, curtains shut when it gets sunny, fans on and paddling pool. It's really tough with toddlers

It's hard with toddlers, but with Dd we are making sure she's drinking plenty, ice lollies, paddling pool. Keeping the blinds shut during the day too to try to keep the temperature in the house down if possible.

He’s probably just worn out from the heat. Would you mind him having a siesta and then staying up late? Or would that drive you bonkers not having some toddler free time in the evening?

I’ve done the opposite, I’m cutting naps to ensure my little ones gets to sleep instantly come bed time with no fussing etc. It’s hard though between hats and suncream and forcing water down them constantly.
