Perfect prep machine

This might be a really daft question but I'm going to ask it!

I used the Tommee tippee perfect prep machine with first Daughter so can't remember. The hot shot comes out fine, but the water after that comes out cold. Is it meant to come out cold or should I be buying a new machine? Also, is it that big of a deal to put the bottle in the microwave for a few seconds after to warm it up?

Yes I think the 2nd shot is supposed to be cold. The 1st shot is hot to sterilise the powder and the 2nd is to top it up to make the correct volume

So it does an initial shot of boiling water you then add formula and then press the button again and it tops the bottle up with cold water. The bottle comes out at room temperature which is how it is supposed to, I originally thought it wasn't warm enough and was worried! But spoke to several other mums, the health visitor and some people online and yes apparently babies bottles should be room temperature for drinking!

Also putting the bottle in the microwave isn't a big deal but they recommend not too as it will create hot spots in the bottle, this is resolved by shaking but it's down to choice 🤷
