Rash on baby

Kayleighjones93 · 24/06/2020 11:42

My baby is 2 months old (9 weeks on Friday)

He had his jabs on Friday just gone, but this rash was visible then and nothing was said about it.

Does this look like heat rash? I mean he's fine in himself, a lot more whingey than usual but I'm assuming cos it's so hot !

Thanks x

It looks like a beat rash but do check with a GP if you are worried

If you are concerned ask gp.

Make sure he hasn’t got temperature, keeps drinking, continues to have wet nappies and is his usual alertness/responsiveness.
Make sure the rash blanches when you press a glass on it (if non-blanching could be sepsis/meningitis). If he has reduced responsiveness or you are concerned - you can take him to hospital. In most cases it could be due to heat rash or viral illness, but occasionally it is more serious and requires urgent treatment. It is hard to Decide sometimes, so places to contact could be 111, Gp or out of hours gp.
