Question about multi vitamins and formula amount

I know the advice is is baby is having less than 500ml a day, they should take vitamins. The amount my son has in day, if he finishes every bottle, is exactly 500ml. However some days he finishes them all, some days he'll leave a good few oz in all of them. So some days, he's below and some days he's on the threshold. I know they can have too much vitamin A, which is why they advise the 5000ml thing. Just not sure what to do? Whether to put him on Abidec or not? After reading possible covid link to vitamin D defiency I don't want him to be lacking in anything.

He would be very unlikely be over the safe upper limits even if he had both, but vitamin toxicity usually requires chronic doses of high levels of vitamins, which he won't have. You could always just offer the vitamins on the days he seems to drink less milk.

Could you introduce certain foods that have vitamin D in? I'll attach what I've found on the internet. Alternatively get out in the sunshine. Easier said than done if you live in the UK as we dont get much sun although it's been cracking recently. Sorry cant be much more help. X

Question about multi vitamins and formula amount

If your baby is 1, then I assume they have moved off formula onto cow's milk, unless I'm misunderstanding something.

My baby is just about to turn 1 and has two bottles of formula still (morning and bedtime). We have started to give her vitamins as she has nowhere near 500mls. In a couple of weeks the formula will stop altogether and she will have a drink of normal milk so will definitely need vitamins then anyway.

Thank you!

@Ihaveoflate He turned 1 a couple of days ago, we are finishing what formula we have left
