Sick of being tired every day... Will I ever be able to count on a good night's sleep again?

Just here for a moan really! Dd is 5.5, ds is 3. They do both sleep through every few days but rarely on the same nights! We've had a bad run this week. Last night ds was up twice just a bit disturbed and Dd was up once for a wee, which I won't begrudge as she's the worse sleeper of the two, I was just pleased she went back to sleep after! She was up from 3am Sunday night and didn't back to sleep at all. I'm just sick of feeling body tired every day. My head is banging.

YY, DS1 does actually sleep now, although he has been asking for a later bedtime because he says he can't get to sleep until gone 10pm. He is 11 and has to get up at 6 for school, so it's tricky - I can't let him stay up until all hours! I compromised and said 9.30 on summer nights, but once it gets darker I want him to try going to sleep at 8.30 again. Oh well, it will be summer soon and he won't have to fight his body clock.

DS2 last night hogged my entire (ginormous, German) pillow to himself and left me trying to get comfy on a corner of it

I saw a FB memory the other day where I was celebrating DS1 sleeping through the night, and he was almost an entire year older than DS2 is now!! And then there was a comment from DH saying that he made up for it the next night :o The thing is I never really mentioned it in public because you get bombarded with advice so I don't actually remember when he regularly/reliably slept through. I do know it was a while after that before he would actually go to sleep by himself.

They only share half their genetics so it must be me that's the bad part
