My dd doesn’t talk or even mimic at 19 months, she just constantly hums. I have a video from when she was 6 months or so babbling away and it seemed to faze out over the following months. At first I just put it down to her being preoccupied learning to sit up, crawl and then walk (she had hip dysplasia so this set these milestones back). But she been walking for nearly 3 months now.
I talk to her constantly, I try making sounds for her to copy also but she just kind of smiles it off or continues humming. Not much interest in copying at all. I’ve contacted the HVs and hopefully will be getting a call back in a week or so but just wondering if anyone has also had this issue? All searches online come up with autism
