Anyone do a tech-sabbath or a screen-free day a week?

I am considering...with trepidation....designating Sundays as a totally screen-free day in my house. We would all (me, my husband and two boys aged 6 and 9) really benefit from it. I am interested to find out if anyone has done/achieved this with any regularity and how you make it work. Do you turn off TV as well as phones/ipads/xbox etc?
Thank you!

Following with interest. Not sure we could cope! Maybe half a day at first, but Sunday morning is a big social time for us with online church so would consider Sunday afternoon. Not sure if it would just cause more stress.

I think it's easily done if you can get outdoors. Go for a long walk on the beach or in the woods, make your own scavenger hunt, nice picnic. Hot bubbly bath with bath bombs for kids when they get home. Nice dinner (slow roast?). Board game and books before bed? Sounds great to me

I've suggested it. The kids could play out and see their mates (in normal times) but I would feel so isolated and not be able to check a million things on-line.
So, great in theory, not sure how it would for work us.

I'll try and report back! Maybe we will try no phones or iPads and Xbox first... so we can watch a
Movie together
