Cradle cap

Hi,

My son has suffered with cradle cap literally since he was a week old.

We've been treating it with dentinox shampoo as advised by GP.. It got so bad, I started applying oil and eventually it came out along with his whole head of baby hair.

Fast forward 8 months and he's still covered in it, except it's not noticeable because he has so much hair. I only notice when I'm washing and brushing it.

Does anyone know how to get rid of it? Or will it eventually just go?

He doesn't scratch at it anymore, doesn't seem to bother him.

Thanks xx

I know people say you aren’t supposed to pick it off, but I did. I used to gently scratch each scale away when they were napping. Once the healthy skin underneath was exposed the scales never grew back.

Have you tried a cradle cap brush? I got one from John Lewis for £4 I think. Haven't tried it as still pregnant, but it had great reviews

My children had it on and off until they were 4 under all their hair. I oiled it occasionally, but it did eventually go.
