Immunisations

DS is 12 weeks but had his 8 week immunisations Thursday due to there being a backlog of appointments.
He seemed ok initially, then got a high temp that evening which resolved with calpol and hasn’t gone back up since. He seemed fine all day Friday but from Saturday, he won’t nap during the day, if he settles or falls asleep for a few mins he wakes with a sudden high pitched scream, is miserable and feels cool and very clammy/sweaty (temp is fine).
He is feeding well and having wet nappies.
Has this happened to your babies at all?

Hi. Have you taken his temp? Are you giving calpol? If feeding ok etc I wouldn’t worry too much, but keep an eye on the temp in case it keeps going or for very high id say, just in case it isn’t the jabs x

Yup! Exactly the same. The day of the jabs he was fine, I gave him calpol. The day afterwards he was awful - super grumpy and unhappy. In hindsight I should have given him another dose of calpol the morning after. He was back to himself the next day.

I have his 12 week immunisations this week coming and ill be ready with the calpol!

This happened to my baby after his 12 week jabs. Fine on the day but MISERABLE the two days afterwards.

Temp has been fine and checked several times because he isn’t a cryer and for him to be literally sobbing for hours on end isn’t right.
Gave calpol earlier too just incase he felt rubbish which didn’t seem to make much difference.
I don’t think this heat helps either, it’s been 26 degrees, really humid so cuddling him just made us both overheat. Hope he is better tomorrow when I’m home with eldest DC who has school work to do Confused
