Babies cry sounds different??

Hi, I'm fully prepared to be told I'm being silly here, but here goes...

My ds (first baby, as you can probably tell!) is 6 months and yesterday evening he started doing this kind of hoarse sounding, slightly feeble cry that we've not heard before. We tried him on pureed broccoli in the afternoon and he seemed fine. I don't think it's anything terrible because he's still feeding well, doing wet and dirty nappies and doesn't have a temp or a rash, but it's just so strange and I'm wondering in the back of my mind if he's OK?? It's not constant, we've had some smiles and laughs etc. He's not a great sleeper at the best of times but last night was awful, he woke constantly and just wanted to be permanently attached to my boob! Should I be worried??

Id key an eye on his temperature etc. I work in A+E and a funny sounding cry (coupled with other things) would be cause for concern

If you think something’s wrong then get him checked out. I’d rather feel like a silly first time mum than not trust myself and miss something.

Hi, sorry I didn't come back! He's fine now. We kept checking his temp and monitoring his nappies, all good. When we first gave him the food the other day we offered water from his bottle alongside, but he didn't take much at all. We tried offering again in a sippy cup (first time using it) and he took it quite well and didn't sound as hoarse after! So now we do bf, then when we offer food we give him water in his cup instead. He's been sounding fine since!
