Baby poo stains!

Any advice on getting newborn baby poo stains out of clothing?
My DD is 2 weeks old and breastfed and we have already had some nappy leakages. I have been washing in Fairy non-bio with vanish spray on the stain but its not coming out.
Any tips would be great as Im sure we have many more to come!

Sunlight, two days out on the line, or 30 mins on a scorching day and they magically go.

Sunlight, stick it on the line and leave it a few days, if you don't have a garden then a window sill will do.

I used Wright's coal tar soap for this, it works really well. Rub it into the stain with some water as soon as you can or space the item in a bucket of cold water until you have time to soap it, then put in the wash as normal. Also agree that bright sunshine also helps, especially on whites.

Elbow grease spray, absolutely swear by that stuff

Breastfed poos just need a little scrub in washing powder than hung out to dry in the sun.

SoupDragon · 09/06/2020 10:22

I agree with sunlight. It works a treat.

SoupDragon · 09/06/2020 10:23

The good thing about sunlight is that (when we have it!) it requires no effort whatsoever.
