Compulsive lying & attitude

I'm really at my wits end right now 😔

My daughter (7) has always told a few porkies but lately seems to lie constantly.. & the attitude is something else 😢

I wouldn't dream of talking to my parents how she talks to us 🤭

She will be punished & sent to her room with things being taken away from her but she has got to the point where she doesn't care anymore.. 😭

Is there a hormone surge at this age?

Any ideas on how I can change this round? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Where she got the behaviour from? Has she learnt it from somewhere? Or is it worse during lockdown?

My daughter was a pain until she was 12, then she started improving. Some kids are just difficult

I could have written your post, my DD is now 12 and slightly better. No amount of punishments, removing of privileges, etc made any difference. Though she now still has plenty of attitude and cheeky answers she can be reasoned with and has learned that it's to her advantage to behave better. No real advice for you other than to wait it out, sorry.

I'm not really sure where it has come from.

She has a very obsessive behaviour also & is always jealous.

It has got worse since lockdown so I don't know if it's frustration?

I don't know if there is a hormone surge at this age?

I really am just clueless & don't know how to deal anymore..

No matter what I do I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle & don't want to give her satisfaction of "winning" if you know what I mean?!

I would never have dreamed of talking to my parents how she speaks to us..
