Dd saying no, no, no, no, no, no.............

Dd is 26 mo and pretty mild on the terrible 2s (touch wood, cross fingers) but this no, no business has really taken off over the last week. She says no,no, no to just about everything - even things she hsa asked for. Then she changes her mind, then starts the no,no,no again, getting more and more distraught. It's as if she is battling someone we can't see (part of her own toddler brain I suspect).

It doesn't seem as though she really knows what she's dong - as if she's just being swept along be an overwheming urge to be contrary and cut off her nose to spite her face. I don't want to keep going back and forwards but dh is a totally soft clart and is utterly incapable of being firm with her (insert much eye rolling).

Did/does your toddler do this - how did you handle it? I have a feeling things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. JIll

I have a 31mth DS who says 'yes' to everything.

Funny you should say that. It was only last month it seemed dd said 'yes' to everything. And we thought THAT was annoying.

I will never complain on hearing the word 'yes' from Her Highnesses Royal Lips again. Ill
