Hello
First time posting here but need some reassurance!
My baby had his 8 week vaccines last weds (5 days ago) & he's a completely different baby!! He's crying all the time, not settling, no smiles! He was such a chilled out happy baby before the jabs :(
Can someone please tell me I'll get my lovely happy baby back?!
I'm dreading the next lot!!
Any advice or anyone had the same thing??
Please be kind I'm feeling v emotional!! Xx

It could be weather related. My 14 week old was fine with his jabs afterwards but really struggles in the heat. Struggles to sleep which has a massive effect on his day time. Hang on in there throughout the hot weather and hopefully baby will improve. Xx

Oh bless you!

Jabs can really unsettle some babies whilst others aren’t bothered - it can feel like a total lottery.

The unsettledness (is that even a word?) will pass! And just as you get into a routine, the next set will come along and bugger it up again 😆 although in my experience the second lot didn’t bother my LO nearly as much!

I know it’s hard, but we do it for them becuase it’s so important to protect them from being seriously ill.

It will pass! In the meantime, don’t worry too much about anything, just do what makes you and baby happy. My LO wanted to be stuck to me like glue - so he went in the sling and life carried on!

I also found around that time that LO discovered his hands - he loved looking at them but I think learning about these new skills tired him out very quickly. He was only awake for about an hour at a time and cheered up a lot when I started settling him for naps a bit earlier - might help?

My baby has been miserable for days and I'm pretty sure it's the hot weather - definitely not his 8w jabs because he's not having them until tomorrow! So, if it's been hot where you are, maybe that's playing a part?
