Baby biting when breastfeeding

My nearly 6month dd has just cut her first two bottom teeth and sometimes when she is breastfeeding she is biting. It's not all the time but when she does ouch!. Is is the first baby I have ebf up to this age and I don't want to stop but it is getting to the stage where I am scared to feed her. Any advice please.

Does she bite during latch on or latch off? My dc would sometimes bite is falling asleep or when pulling off.

It's a hard one but try to watch for sleepy cues and delatch her just before. It really hurts, my littliest is currently not yet biting but nipping and that's bad enough.

It mag be worth calling the breastfeeding line or looking at the kellymom website. Congrats for doing 6 months, it's bloody hard.
