My daughter is nearly 5 months and I’m now struggling with naps

She has slept every night from 6 weeks 10:30-6 I wake her then for a bottle
She goes back down about 7 till half 9
Her afternoon nap is now the problem she used to sleep 1:30 3:30 but now every day is a fight and she beary gets 40 mins
She naps later about half 6 for 45 mins before bed which is fine.

I duno if I’m doing anything wrong she just is so grumpy if she doesn’t sleep well in the afternoon.

What do I alter?
Is it a phase?
I feel selfish cause I haven’t wanted to adjust it much with her sleeping all night any ideas?

Thanks FTM

Also if you have any advice on where she should nap in the afternoon it’s mostly pram or my arms after a fight

My DS only napped for 30 mins until 5 months! It may just be a phase - he was having 3 naps around that point. He would have a shorter nap about 8/9am and then an hour over lunchtime and another half hour late afternoon. Bed at 7pm.

Do you have a bedtime routine? You know your baby better than anyone so what works for others might not work for you. DS has had a 'bedtime' of 7pm since he was about 3 months old. He stayed in the same room as us until 6 months when he went to his own room.

Thanks
Nighttime is probs the easiest time it is late 10pm but means she has gone all night she winds down and goes over herself most nights. But now I wonder if she’s to old to be going that late.

I would add in an extra nap, a morning nap, andpush the second nap later. So fitting in with your current routine that would be:
9.30am wake
11.30am nap
2.30pm nap
6.00pm nap
10.30pm bed

Nothing aside from conversion says babies "should" go to bed early evening. Your child won't need an early bedtime until school/nursery starts. So if you're happy with a 9.30am-10.30pm day then that's fine.
