Hi all,

Sorry if this has been asked before. LO drinks 20-24oz from 6am - 10pm. Every 3 hours.

She isn't eating much solids.

Do I cut dow on bottle and maybe try feeding every 4 hours so she eats more?

Or do I stick to more formula and whatever solid she can eat?

Thank you

How old?

Depends what age. 20-24oz is not a lot especially if they are younger than about 10 months

Depends on the age.

No, definitely don't cut out any bottles at this age. When babies start weaning, it's all about tastes and not quantity that will fill them up. As time goes by, baby will start eating more and more and their bottles will naturally drop.

As a hv once said to me, formula/breastmilk is the still the most important form of nutrition until the age of 1. And as the popular saying goes "Food before 1 is just for fun".

@THNG5 thank you for the advice. Everyone around just keeps confusing me saying food first :/ I will continue with my current schedule then. Thanks a lot

Definitely milk first until they're much nearer 12 months. They are still reliant on milk for the vast majority of calories and nutrients at that age.
