What time does your 9yr old get up in the morning?

Morning ladies 😴
What time does your 9yr old (or there about) wake up/get up in the morning? What is acceptable to you?

It's Very hit and miss with my DS, but recently he's been getting up earlier & earlier, this morning he had gotten up at 5:30! I found him watching tv on his Xbox, but I imagine he would have been on his games within the hour.
When I went down, he kept saying "I didn't know the time did I!" As if it was me being unreasonable Hmm so clearly he was still tired.

Xbox controllers will be coming to bed with me to remove the temptation to get up too early and the groclock might make a reappearance since he can't seem to look at the time when he gets up.

Kitten

Mine goes to bed between 9 and 9.30 usually.

Thanks ladies, seems I'm not the only one then! Usually he wakes up between 7-7:30 which is fine but lately it's been terrible- surely he can't be getting enough sleep 😴. Will be starting a 'staying in room until 7' policy I think!

My DS is just 10 and he’s always, always awake between 5.30 & 6 💤 he goes up to bed at 8.30pm, lights out at 9pm. He’s always woken up early and I don’t really mind because he reads quietly in his room and knows he’s not to come downstairs till 7. DD 12 would stay in bed all day if she had the chance....

She doesn’t though...because I’m ‘evil’ apparently!! 😂

We had this when they were younger and realised they didn't have a clock so we bought them the kind of bedside clocks that readjust if there's a power cut. Not setting the alarm during lockdown but if they wake before 7 they can read quietly. The blackout linings in the curtains help though!

My DC is certainly not using their brain as much as when they are at School, also I have been very unwell so exercise has been reduced.

School on Monday though, 7 hours a day,
Early night Sunday!
