Hi, I am currently 22 weeks pregnant with my first baby and have started thinking about things like prams. The thing is, there are SO MANY out there to choose from and it's all a bit overwhelming as I'm not really sure what I should be looking for! Brands like ickle bubba seem to be quite good value, but does that mean they're not that good?!

I live in the country but 10 mins away from town, and envisage carrying the baby on dog walks etc, but might end up needing to take the pram sometimes I guess? Most of the time it would be used for normal visiting people/shopping/generally being out and about (all this feels like a distant dream at the moment 😂)

Budget wise I would like to keep it under £1000 for everything (pram and flat lay variation, car seat), preferably under £800 but I don't know if that's realistic - can you get car seats that come with prams or should they be bought separately?

Thank you!

Look at buying a car seat separate. For a car seat you want the safest option and the ones that come with travel systems normal aren’t. Most branded car seats fit with most travel system.

I have a venicci pram with buggy and car seat travel system. 800 pound all in but that’s because we bought the 2019 fancy new model at the time. That car seat was used (until lockdown) by the grandparents for days out. Seperately we bought a joie infant car seat for 135 pound. Definitely doable in your price range for good quality.

Have a look at mountain buggy's. Tough and v light and easy to manoeuvre, great for country living and then take round town. We have the urban jungle

We spent less than £800 in a shop that did a bundle with a cybex icloud car seat that can clip on and the carrycot plus mb attachments too.

I work in a pram shop and would recommend you go to an independent retailer (if you have any nearby, they should open on the 15th) and speak to them.
I would look at Mountain Buggy, Baby Jogger, Bugaboo Cameleon, even an iCandy Peach in an older colour for your budget with either a Kiddy Evoluna I-Size car seat or Cybex Cloud Z. Message me if you want any more help, happy for talk through stuff with you (not trying to sell you anything I promise!)
Other thing worth considering is how big your boot is, or storage at home & whether you might want another one close in age do you can convert to a double?

I love my iCandy All terrain, it’s been brilliant so far. Can change it from 4 to 3 wheels and it’s great on the farm (I have a horse). Folds easily and pretty light and compact for an all terrain.
We got it with 20% off so it was about £900ish but that wasn’t with car seat.

Look at Pushchair Expert website for video reviews of most prams, I found that helpful.

I wouldn't buy a kiddy car seat without checking warranties etc - I thought kiddy went bankrupt.

Thanks everyone! @LulusMiniEgg that's really helpful, thank you, I'll check out all of those brands
