Registering new baby at fathers GP

Does anyone know if you can register a new baby at the fathers GP surgery? Me and DH are registered at different places currently but his is much closer to our house (walking distance) whereas mine is driving distance (although I’m still living in the boundary so been struggling to get mine moved)
Does anyone know if I can register the baby at his surgery as this will be so much easier (I drive but we share a car so I wouldn’t have access to it most days unless he is able to wfh/ borrow his parents car)
I rarely use the GP but assuming the baby will for various vaccinations/ childhood ailments etc?!
Has anyone done this?

Yes! I registered baby at DH's surgery, although I did eventually transfer also. It was a bit tricky having the midwife at one practice and my GP at another, but this won't apply to you.

Definitely choose closer option.

Amazing! I was hoping that would be the case Smile I’m hoping to transfer eventually as well as more convenient all round but think it’ll be so much easier to have the baby there from the start!

Thanks for helping to put my mind at rest.
