Hi first time mum here to a 4 month old.

Today he has been sick multiple times through the day....coughing lots and had a fever of 37.9

He has reflux so the sickness isn't unusual but there has been more today. He is also teething and drooling alot so not sure if that is accounting for the cough and the temp.

Just looking for a bit of advice.... do I just calpol it up or should I get a check up?

Call 111
They are very helpful with small babies, they will usually advise calpol and monitor but it’s good to check.
I’ve had to call twice in lockdown. You will have to self isolate though regardless

OP that's not a fever.

When you say he's being sick do you mean spitting up or actually vomiting?

37.9 is at the top end of normal, not quite fever levels. So keep an eye on it but don't panic.

I'd give calpol and otherwise just check he is still having plenty of wet nappies, waking for feeds, still has some alert periods (although if he has picked up an illness he may be a bit more sleepy overall).

Most babies do start drooling around this age, it probably isn't actually teething even though the symptoms seem similar.
