The menB vaccine can cause a fever so 3 doses of paracetamol are recommended afterwards to help prevent it.

My baby had his 1st vaccinations this week.

I gave him calpol very soon afterwards, then another dose 4hrs after that. All was fine. The next day he was super agitated. I gave him one more dose then, which seemed to calm him down. He also slept so well during the day and that night! The day after he was back to his normal self.

I think if you plan for an irritable baby for 1/2 days after the jabs, you wont be in for any suprises.

DS had absolutely zero reaction of any sort. I gave him calpol as a preventative measure but he could not have been less bothered by the whole thing. This was a few months ago obviously but we went to a baby class later that day and he was on excellent form.
