Sleeping through at 3 months

Hello!

My little boy will be turning 3 months old this week he's been sleeping almost through the night from about 10/11pm through until 6/7am is it okay just to let him drop his middle of the night feed so young just concerned about his little belly being empty for too long but when I've tried to wake him up before he only ends up drinking 2/3 ounces so I'm assuming it should be fine just to drop it out as he's doing it himself naturally?

If he has no medical issues, leave him to it and enjoy!

Just to warn you, it might not last... (Four month sleep regression is a killer)

He'll wake up if he needs it - enjoy it while the going's good!

He'll be fine. It's very normal for them to go for a period where they sleep all night around this age. Both of mine did (one was ff and the other bf) and then both slept all night for a few weeks/month around 3 months. It usually does not last so make the most of it. The next time it happened they were 3.5 and 2 years, respectively. He'll wake if he's hungry though.

Mine did this from 6 weeks. I just left him to it and enjoyed the sleep while it lasted!

If his weight gain is fine then leave him be and enjoy the full nights sleep whilst it lasts!

Hoping my 8 week old will do this soon but he's still waking at 2, and then 4.30 so im not holding out any hope

Okay, thank you everyone!

Ds started going through the night from 11 weeks and he's still going strong at 7 months 😁. Your baby would let you know if they were hungry!

I’m so jealous of both of you! My baby is four weeks and I’m exhausted by the 3am feeds.

Haha. Mine is 13m, and went down at 7.30, woke at 8.30, 9, 9.30 10.30, 1.40 and 4.40 (and is currently still awake) and it's a reasonably typical night. My 3 year old has only just started sleeping through. The 3 year old that was regularly going from 11-6am without a feed at 3m. It went tits up at 4m, so enjoy whilst the going is good. It might stay that way, it probably won't. Either way, don't wake him to feed or you'll kick yourself for the next few years if it doesn't stick.

DD slept through from just before her 6 week check.

I'd stopped changing her after a feed unless it was really necessary as it woke her too much.

She just stopped and slept instead, and always needed to have a good night's sleep.

If there are no weight or feeding issues leave them to it. My dc slept through for a few weeks at that age, they are now almost 5 and haven't done it since!
