Best cups for 13 month old?

Please can anyone let me know what kind of water cup my baby should be having now he is 13 months. He has only ever had the tommy tippee first cup.

He drinks his milk from a bottle. To try to move to cup do I use the same type as water cup?

Thank you!

These are recommended from 6+ months, and they are padded so they won't break x

DS went from bottles to miracle 360 cups

My DD is almost 2 and she still uses those Tommee Tippie cups, that's what they use in nursery too. She also has a few straw cups/bottles and just started using sports-top type bottles too. We weaned DD off her bottles around 13/14 months old, we initially switched to a bottle that had more of a sippy end so not a proper teat and then after another month or so she would drink it out if anything sippy cup, straw cup, whatever. She wasn't really bothered tbh and never specifically asked for a bottle.

My 13 month old uses Doidy cups for water and the Munchkin 360 cups for milk.

Mine uses a doidy cup for his water at meals.

I don't know the name of it but he has a lidded cup with a rim that you have a bite to release water to carry around with him. (It is amazing. He has a cleft palate so doesn't have the suction power for most beakers and straws)

**I got the bitey cup in Tesco if it helps

Thank you all

I've just checked the doidy cup-I have no idea how people get their babies of this age drinking from open cup! I wish.

We use a 360 cup as no spills and can easily be taken from room to room!

Pixiefringe · 22/05/2020 09:36

Re the doidy cup I either fill it to near the top and keep hold of it for him while he holds the handles and drinks it, or I only put a tiny bit of water in and let him do it himself sometimes which always ends in water everywhere

Take the lid off the TT first cup to make it an open cup. I didnt like the doidy cup. I had a different cup for milk than for water

Mine used a doidy from weaning and still uses it now at 2 at meals. I used to take it off him when he wasn’t drinking from it so he wouldn’t spill it. When he wasn’t in his high chair we used the basic tommee tippee ones. He never had a bottle as went from bf to cups.
