LO turned 5 months today. Up until 4 months (ish) she was waking for a feed around 3/4 or not at all and sleeping through 7.30-6. Since a few weeks ago she has been waking around 10 and 3 I’ve tried to get her to settle herself back down without the bottle but always ends in her getting worked up. As soon as she’s had a feed she goes straight back to sleep. She’s having 5-7oz in her day time feeds and 8oz at 5 before bed at 6.30/7 (but goes to sleep without feeding). Should I be persisting without the milk and trying for longer to get her to self soothe I can’t understand that she is hungry if she was sleeping through before now, even though she seems it! Also trying to introduce food (Porridge, blended veg) but she’s only interested in sucking on fruit at the moment. I apologise for the ramble this is my first time posting ConfusedGrin

Sounds like she's hit a sleep regression. I'd just give her the bottle, personally, and think yourself lucky she goes straight back to sleep.

Don't expect solids to make them sleep better either.

My DD is 5months, i still dream feed her when i go to bed about 11-12 and she sleeps 8-8. She is hell to feed and fights me every bottle during the day so i think she still needs it and im very reluctant to stop. Shes about a month behind in size due to being prem, loosing a lb and then bowel surgery at a week old . She still drinks it so figured she still wants it

I came across this a lot when researching it, just haven’t know anyone personally to actually experience it themselves. Thank you Smile

@Gin4thewin bless her, little fighter! Lo is the same always wriggling through the daily feeds but so happy once she’s drank the lot. Think I’ll continue as she does seem hungry when it comes to it. Thanks Smile
