I've always just used full fat natural Greek style yogurt, it's thicker so easier to spoon - Tesco do it in little tubs as well as big ones. My poor kid thinks some plain yogurt is a real highlight!

I also use full fat Greek yogurt too, it's much easier to spoon and has more protein in.

Are you in the uk? All the supermarkets sell full fat plain yogurt in 500g tubs.

Asda and Lidl did have this before Corona. You could make your own set yoghurt -

Add hot (but not boiled) whole milk into a thermos / pot with a few spoons of shop bought live yoghurt. Stir. Then leave somewhere warm for 4-8 hours. If you’re using a pan you should cover it. The yoghurt will last 5-7 days in a fridge at 4 degrees celsius - might taste a little sour but you can sweeten it with fruit or veg.

It was a total PITA as I remember. Getting full fat, non-sweeteners was a nightmare.
