Partners ex just text to say one of his children has just started to cough today. We are due to collect them to stay for the weekend. What should we do?!!

Have they got a temperature?

Also, unless anyone in the house is particularly vulnerable, like diabetic or newborn I think you should have him, ill or not.

Thanks for the advice. We decided to get them and so far there has been no evidence of a cough, so I guess we will see.

I am afraid that I'd have said not to collect and swap for the weekend after.
But too late.
Suppose you'll all know in 14 days....

Well so long as no one is vulnerable, you’ll be fine even if it is. You’ll just feel poorly for a short while like any other illnesses.

Obviously, you will need to isolate if you genuinely think he has symptoms!
