Has anyone used the Thompson Method for Breastfeeding?

I am a first time mummy to be and feel quite passionate about breastfeeding. I have heard it can be so painful and only 15% of mums continue to breastfeed to 6 months. I have found this Australian method which promises of pain free breastfeeding, which understandably sounds like something every mother would like to experience! It’s called the Thompson Method and they have an offer on at the moment selling all the information including videos and seminars at half price. I just wondered if anyone had used it or knew anyone that had? Is it really as good as it sounds?
Thank you!

This thread is over a year old, I think the oo probably knows what she's doing now. Bore off with your ads!

Totally agree with this - I followed the page about 3 years ago when they posted really helpful videos about breastfeeding but then they took them all down and started answering all questions with 'buy the course' for an outrageous sum. I did however find the video that shows a mum breastfeeding according to the Thompson 'method' really useful and think it's still actually there for free if you check their Facebook videos...it really is just common sense but does give the confidence to avoid some of the commonly used latching technoques (which in my experience caused pain) when really it seems like the 'just put them on the boob' approach works the best!! I think they started out being a great free resource but then became really greedy sadly.
