How do I wean into a bottle?

My DD is 10 months and I am due to start back at work mid June so she may have days where she is just with her dad. At the moment she is exclusively breastfed but we really need her to be happy to take a bottle twice a day for her naps.

I have absolutely no idea how to get her to accept the bottle. I’ve just tried it and she won’t even put it in her mouth. Her dad tried it before me with the same result.

Have I left it too late? I’m panicking that I’ve really fucked it up now! Please help.

Try a cup. Why would you wean onto a bottle?

Agree, you should be using a cup not bottle at 10 months.
Mine will be having a cup for milk if necessary and she is 8 months (never had a bottle).

I wouldn't wean her onto a bottle at that age either, I'd go straight to a cup.

Does it not spill everywhere? She has it to get to sleep for her nap. Or do I just give her the milk in a cup for sustenance then try to put her for a nap with out feeding to sleep?

No, there are lots of no spill cups available for babies aged as young as 4 months. You can get spouted and non spouted versions nuby-uk.com/cups-and-beakers-c5/trainer-cups-c58

Thank you @bloodywhitecat I’ll have a look. I’m so clueless.

Look at Munchkin cups too, the website is down at the moment but I've heard good things about them too.
