My daughter is 2 and a half years old, I recently strated her potty training and she took to it really well, we had the reward charts etc and after a fortnight I thought we had cracked it, she was even dry when we went out places and always told me when she needed a wee. The last two days my daughter has took to peeing on the spot, wherever she is, on the sofa, outside, on the floor, she even does it whilst standing right next to her potty. I know she is deliberately being naughty as she says oops a wee accident with a mischeviuos glint in her eye.at first I tried to be calm and suggest she use the potty and now Ive tried to disipline her but nothing is working. I dont know what to do has anyone got any advice?

my two did this, we did really well for weeks (although i hadn't been brave enough to go out with pants on), but then went backwards. I think they turned a corner in development and toys and their imagination took over - they were just too busy to stop and wee.

Has something significant happened in her life? new baby brother/sister, she could be playing up for attention. It could be that since she cracked it she was getting less attention (she was being a good girl, so no more praise etc cos it was normal iyswim), so she decided that accidents got her more attention.

i would try ignoring accidents and going overboard with praise for sitting on potty....OR get a seat for the toilet so she feels like an even bigger girl for going on the toilet (and get a step so she can get up by herself)....mine have not had an accident since they have started using the loo, they love standing and 'pointing' to wee.....
