Baby developed some redness around one eye... Some advice please

Hi there! Wanted some adivice please, my 8 month old has developed some redness on one eye near his pupil. It's been a day and doesn't seem to be getting any better, the pollen has been quite high and he keeps rubbing his eyes so I think it could be an allergy But I'm not sure! Any advice should I be worried?! Thank you

Could be conjunctivitis? Very itchy if it's that. Bathe the eye and prevent him from rubbing to avoid spread to the other eye. Also if possible breastmilk is apparently the cure all for that.

If you don't think it's that, hopefully someone else will be along soon with some better advice!

Thank you, I don't think it is as there isn't any pus or tears etc but I'm not too sure I will keep an eye out and keep the eye clean. Thanks again!
