8 month old cant roll or crawl.

Just that really. She can sit up confidently for 30 mins by herself, laugh, babble, say dada, plays well but HATES tummy time and just won't roll or make any attempt at crawling. She just lies there confused and then gets upset. Should I be doing something more to encourage or will she just one day crawl or roll without me prompting?

Very early for crawling. DS1 crawled at 8 months but was the first out of the NCT group (and then the last to walk). Some babies never crawl at all, and that's also fine :)

If she can sit up her core strength is fine. She probably just doesn't see the point of rolling.

Also, DS1 hated tummy time whereas DS2 loved it! Funny how they can all be different.

Both mine hated tummy time I think because have big heads
DD never rolled; she crawled at 11 months and walked at 16 months. I was worried and kept comparing her to other babies but she is 100% normal and her speech turned out to be awesome!
DS is 11 months and hates tummy time more than DD. He can’t crawl but did roll.

They are all different. Don’t stress yourself out trying to force tummy time if they just scream at you. Spend the time reading to them or singing to them instead and who knows maybe you’ll be encouraging their amazing literary or musical side!
