Bamboozles leaking....

Hi. Im hoping someone can help me. I recently brought a load of bamboozles, at first they were good but now she leaks out of them. The wraps are quite big and keep bunching up around the legs so you can see the nappy. Today I tried an airflow wrap and boostered it with a fluffles insert (as don't have any other boosters) and the same thing happened. This is driving me mad as every time we go out she is leaking!

could the wraps have lost their waterproofness if such a word exists? are they new or used and have you ever (heaven forbid but i used to! slaps wrist) soaked them with the nappies??
how are they bunching up so you can see the nappy? i can't quite imagine it, could you describe it a bit more, do you mean you think the wraps are too small and so riding up over the nappy or too big so there is a big gap between the nappy and the wrap and you can kind of see the nappy underneath the wrap?
sorry if i sound blunt, don't mean it that way at all, just intrigued

My friend told me exactly the same thing today - happening with her sons bamboozles so she has gone back to disposables. She knows what she is doing with washables too as he is the 2nd child she's used washables on, although the bamboozles are relatively new. Thing is, a wrap can be reasonably loose yet not cause leaks if the nappy is good and absorbent, cause the nappy absorbs the water and the wrap is meant to cover the nappy against the clothes, not form a waterproof seal around legs etc. My boys wear wraps poppered quite loose but only get leaks if the nappy is saturated. If you have tried different wraps then it sounds like its the nappy.
Sometimes nappies get saturated quickly and leak because the child needs a bigger sized, ie more absorbent, nappy.
I haven't used bamboozles but am not impressed from what I am hearing, cos I also hear that they shrink if you wash them at hot temps - er - aren't you supposed to do that with nappies???

Hi. Thanks for all the advice.

Firstly when I put the wrap over the nappy there are big gaps around the legs so you can see the nappy, this happens more when she is moving around.

They are brand new wraps, only been used a few times and I have never soaked them so can't see they have lost their waterproofness.

Maybe she is just weeing more recently which is why it's happening, what can I boost them with? Don't really want to spend more money on them. I have some terry squares I could cut up, also got a couple of microfibre clothes.

Really don't want to resort to disposibles but have been using more and more recently.

Is she currently in size 1's which are 8-18lbs???? Sounds like she needs size 2's which are 18-35lbs?

Interesting....DS only 8 weeks (14 lbs?) is wearing a size 2 bamboozle at night boosted with Onelife (same as Motherease) booster and is leaking. We have Bambino Mio wraps only because they are what I got free with the OneLife Nappies from the council. I'm not too impressed compared to the Rikki wraps I bought for dd for the next sizes.

I'm thinking I need the next size up of wrap-to effectively cover the whole nappy, and boost with a microfibre cleaning cloth too (not tried these yet)to stop him having his legs almost off the mattress.

I'm also thinking about making a wool wrap out of a matted wool jumper, as I think part of the problem for ds is the rise isn't long enough, while still being snug enough for a littlun.

Will let you know how I get on.

She is in size 2. I put her in a fluffles this morning with the booster and an airflow wrap and it has been fine.

Ha ha! Size 2 Bamboozle and an Ella's House with a medium Motherease wrap did the trick for us last night!
