oh thanks everyone, I really thought that I had failed my re-sit ( I had gastro at the first exam and could not sit it- meaning that if I failed the re-sit, I was off the course)

Im over the moon, so happy.

I am indeed, and even have a friend in my class now (well a friend of a friend actually).

Just waiting for them to give me my enormous student support grant (£50 ), so I can buy some ink cartridges and a book or something lol.

at BCUC (a small college/uni in Chalfont St Giles)

Just started today and already p'd off - was told a couple of weeks ago that the timetable wasn't set in stone but hours (at college) would be between 9.30 and 2.30. We went in today and found we had lectures til 6.30 pm one day and 5.30 another. Lots of complaints already as schools and after school and nurseries actually shut at 6 - not looking forward to being on the M25 in rush hour unnecessarily.

Worst part for me is the enormous breaks of 3/4 hours in the middle of the day - the college is not near anything so I will want to go home in the middle of the day and come back - an extra hour round trip for nothing.

We were also told we would be in 3 days - its now very spread over 4 days.

Sorry, I'm just bitching now - I haven't had my bursary and won't get it for at least two weeks and I don't have oodles of petrol money to be spending going back and forward all the time.

tiredemma · 17/09/2007 18:02

im not surprised- most uni's/colleges balls up and just 'assume' that everyone can stick to the timetable- not taking into account that you may actually have other responsibilites outside of uni.

Hopefully your funding will be sorted soon- im sure it will.

Good Luck- it is difficult at times, but so very rewarding. I cannot think of anything else I would rather be doing.
