My 6 month old is sadly growing out of their Schnuggle (well managing to splash almost all the water out of it as soon as they get in.) can anyone recommend a seat for 6months+? We are not quite sitting unaided yet but can’t take any more being drowned in water from the schnuggle!

Following as need the same advice

I got one from mothercare that was a seat attached to a long mat. It lasted until he was about 1 and now he’s 2 we just use the mat. The mat is great as it’s much bigger than normal ones - covers most of the bath - and I’m pregnant again so will be good that the new baby can have the seat (from when they can sit up) and my son can still be on the mat part. Obvs no mothercare anymore it was called the mothercare aquapod if you can get one online or secondhand, or something similar.

I have 9 month old twins and we used the Anglecare bath seats from 6 months. They are really good and few very secure.

We really struggled with DS as he couldn’t sit unaided but was too big for most seats. We went through an angelcare one which was no good, then we tried a rotho seat but he kept sliding down and hurting his willy on the plastic centre piece lol. We finally managed to get a mesh lie back one from mothercare which was perfect to get us through the month or two until he could sit up on his own (with a bath mat underneath). You can get similar on amazon.

We got a swivel seat from Smyth's for £15 which sticks to the bath with suction cups

We just got the angel care one and it's great! My little boy loves it.

Funtcase95 · 04/05/2020 09:06

@HarrietM87 they do these on amazon now but I think they're quite pricey now!

HarrietM87 · 04/05/2020 10:05

Oh yes they are! I paid £20 for mine - it’s not worth £60! eBay could be worth a look.

Definitely the Angel Care seat. It’s solid, simple, comfy and easy to clean. The twisty seats are really uncomfortable and unhygienic, they don’t dry properly and black mould builds up inside.

I’m going to go for the angel care. Thanks for all your advice!
