Hi,
I contacted a cat rescue centre a year ago as I'd been wanting to rescue a cat I was on maternity leave so was going to be at home. We decided to wait until the kids were older. I've been redeployed and might be working from home if I like a couple of days until September not sure I'll ever have a chance to home work again. I tentatively made an enquiry with a rescue centre and told her the ages of my children I expected her to say no but she's seen photos of our house and I told her that my children were very compassionate and pretty well behaved if I'm honest my youngest is a calm child says ok mummy and walks off if I tell her not to do something. We would need an assessment to see if we are a suitable family but I was just wondering what people's opinions are on kittens and small children. The cat rescue lady was actually of the opinion that cats can help a child learn skills of caring and is lovely whereas the last cat rescue centre said my children were too young to be considered (this was a year ago) does anyone have any experience of cats/kittens with small children and have any good advice?
