Sterilisation during CSection

Wasn't sure where to put this as the people who are pregnant now, won't have any experiences as such!

We have 3blended children and im pregnant with #4. We are very late 30s and DH is adamant he doesn't want more (had to convince him for #4!). I dont think I want more (DS will be under 2 when #4 is born) and I'm adamant I don't want to give birth in my 40's.

DH is reluctant to get a vasectomy as he sometimes suffers with ED (mental health related) and understandably we don't want to add stress to the bedroom.

I'm therefore thinking about sterilisation during my planned CSection (DS was emergency csection so deffo having section this time).

Anyone had any experiences? Did u regret it? Did it make recovery harder? Would u do it again if you had a do-over?

Thank you!!!

I had this after the birth of dc5 (now aged 10). All dcs were born by csection and despite real wanting more children I couldn’t put my body through any more sections.

I recovered as well as all my other sections, no extra pains or anything like that. No qualms in recommending it at all.

I had it done after my third section, don't regret it. It took longer than my previous sections, so be prepared for that. No different pains than the previous sections.
