My baby had his injections yesterday. He slept more than normal yesterday throughout the day and was unsettle from 2am onwards. Since around 12ish today hes done nothing but sleep which is so unusual. He woke at 3 for bottle then fell bad asleep. Hes due feel again in 15 mins and flat out. He feels quite warm but my front room is 22 degrees so I've checked his temp twice and its 37.0

The nurse at the doctors wouldnt allow me to stay another second more so just shoved a leaflet in my hand which showed me how to give him 3 doses of calpol. No info on side effects or anything.

Is all this normal?

Thanks

Over the top mum

There’s really good info on the NHS website about all childhood vaccines and side effects etc.
Some babies are more sleepy after their vaccines.
If they feed and have wet nappies then that is a good sign but as with anything to do with the health of your baby, seek medical advice if you’re concerned as you know them best Smile

@Laylor my LO was normal after 8w vaccination but then had fever after 12w ones. Enjoy him being sleepy and cuddly, it is normal and he should be to his normal self tomorrow. I did not even go with any medication (only after the 12w ones when his fever hit 38 I gave him a bit of calpol). Good luck :)
