Using a baby sling/carrier

My little girl is 8 weeks old and I’ve found over the last week or so that during the day I can only get to her nap for more that 30-40 minutes if I use the sling or carrier. She’ll fall asleep in my arms but if I put her down she’ll wake within 10mins.
Am I making a rod for my own back by using the sling regularly, will she always want to be on me or held to go to sleep? Is it ok to use it every day or even multiple times a day?
Thankfully she seems to be fine falling asleep in her crib on the evening.

My experience is that yes she’ll probably only want to sleep being held or in the sling during the day for the time being but these habits can easily be broken if they become a problem. I have an 8 week old and I have to rock him to sleep during the day and I did a similar thing with my DD and was able to break the habit within a week when it became a problem a few months down the line. Personally for me it’s more important at this age to just get my baby to sleep as he’s not one to fall asleep by himself and all that happens is I end up with a crying over tired baby.
