Dressing baby in sling

Hello all!

I have a Moby ring sling and I’m worried about how to dress baby in the warm weather.

He’s currently in short sleeved vest, trousers and long shirt. He feels fine but i still worry! We are in the house and it’s around 18

I’d love to hear how you all dress your babies in a sling - do you always remove a layer of clothing? Do you check the temp or go by feel?

I also worry about the wrap cutting off circulation to his legs when I’m sitting down as he sometimes has red marks after hours of being in the sling! Anyone else have this/should I worry? Loosing it every time I sit down is a pain cos it’s never right again after!

I cant help you with this but I'm going to sit and wait for the responses. I tried my 8 week old in one about two weeks ago and he didnt feel secure and I got terrible back ache. No idea what I'm doing wrong x

I know everybody loves slings, I just can’t get on board with mine. I worry about him being too hot. I worry about him being too loose. I worry about him being crushed into my boobs. I worry about his legs and spine. Also, he cries bloody murder every time he gets put in it, which probably doesn’t help.

If you touch the back of their neck it tells you if they’re warm or cold & you can adjust accordingly.

The redness suggests the sling is too tight around his legs. Are you able to loosen it?

Also there’s a lot of slings out there for the other posters struggling. I used a Caboo close to me for the first 6 months then an Ergo 360 although with my daughter she was pretty much in the ergo 360 as I had two DC to run after too.
