Feel like an exhausted failure

Hi

I’m currently 5.5 months pregnant with my 2nd, my DD is 21 months, I’ve been furloughed from work I am a key worker but due to me being pregnant they will not let me work, my parter is still working.

We are currently renting a property with no garden ( sold our house last year ) has just been accepted on a house offer but due to this virus it’s all fallen through which I did expect even though disheartening as it was 95% complete.

But my issue is I am completely exhausted 😩 I am trying to eat well drinking water taking spa tone iron supplements as well as preg vitamins. My dd is non stop and for some reason now refusing to nap even though she’s exhausted and it’s getting me down, I wouldn’t mind but she still wakes in the night. I’ve checked for new teeth cutting and can’t see any although have given calpol just incase, I am finding myself falling asleep standing up lol I am having to push myself for our daily exercise, I don’t think things would be as tough if we had some little outdoor space, but this is really affecting me psychically and mentally now I am
Struggling.

My partner is a great dad and will say go for a lay down once he’s in from work and take over things but my little girl constantly wants to be by my side, even though she’s having 1-2-1 with her dad..

Please tell me I’m not alone In this.

Hope everyone is keeping safe xx

Being PG and having a toddler is tough, especially if she’s not napping.

Can I ask what you do when she wakes in the night? I think it might be useful to tackle that, if you and DH are up to it.

Could you have a quiet hour after lunch so that you can have a sit down. Maybe read to her and then do some quiet activities, like sorting Pom-poms, sorting Pasta shapes or threading things?

If all else fails, don’t hesitate to put a stair gate on the door and put her CBeebies on whilst you have a nap.
