Fortnite/ online gaming plea

Before I begin:
I am not looking for judgement or unsolicited opinions. My son is ALWAYS supervised when playing online.

I’m also not sure if this is the right place for this thread.

My son is getting very lonely on lockdown and is desperate for new people his age to play fortnite online with. He’s 9 and uses a PlayStation. Playing online had been a bit of a lifeline for him as he’s been able to socialise and chat with friends.
It would be amazing if anyone had a child of a similar age that plays as well and can chat online, and is in a similar position.

With all due respect, can you let me parent my own child.

It's the principle of it.

You can't enforce online safety rules and bang on how important they are and then "oh here darling mummy found a friend or ten that we never met". It will undo everything you taught him, and you need to remember you won't always be able to supervise every single gadget and app he has.

With all due respect why the hell would you pick a website that it's known for it's pervy trolls (from shit,to periods,to peeing in school and god knows what else) to find friends for your child?

I can’t believe this is how you live your life.

You raise your kids. I’ll raise mine.

Goodbye.
