Constipated baby

hi

My lb is 6 weeks old and doesn't go to the toilet very often- every 3-4days. I've spoken to health visitor who isn't concerned however he is really struggling atm.
When he does go its still runny mustard baby poo, but today he has had 3 what I can only describe as skidders (sorry for putting it that way 😅)
Has anyone had anything similar? I was considering comfort milk, my daughter was on that but her poo was solid as in it was like she was passing golf ball, hes not like that as is still runny.
Any advice much appreciated

Hey. Sounds similar to my 7 week baby. To me that dosent sound like constipation if it's still runny. My baby has a poo like that and then throughout the day it's like the dregs of the poo its strange but completely normal. I was told by the midwife that as long as the routine has stayed the same since birth then there is no cause for concern. So if you baby has always gone 3 to 4 days since arrival then it's fine. Does he have any other symptoms that I may be able to help you with? I'm not a doctor but weve been struggling with our babies bowels/wind for the last 4 or so weeks x

It really doesn't sound like constipation.

As long as baby isn't distressed, I really wouldn't worry Smile
