I did - My cotton is about 17.5/18, the bamboo is 17

Is that stretched out? Do you think it possible for both cottom and bamboo nappies to shrink 3/4 inches? My mum thinks that is a bit much. I know I am going on but....

My bamboo squares were 65inches when I bought them and they are now the same size as my 60inch bought cotton ones, so yup it is perfectly possible. I have noticed that bamboo tends to shrink when it is washed at 60C.

My cotton quick flip is an old one, and it's occurred to me that I have no idea what size it is was to begin with - it was a gift and has no size.

At the end of the day though, you said you felt they were small when you got them, and yet you still used them - if you have a problem with a product you have to say before using it. There is nothing that Little Kiwi can or should do about it once they have been used if you already thought there could a size issue before using them, except for looking at whether they should increase their sizings.

Thanks for the advice. I suppose I am annoyed with myself as well, I thought they seemed small at the time but they were labelled as medium so thats what I thought they were. I don't have a huge range of nappies the majority beening wambamboos which are huge in comparison and they have never shrunk. I'll stick to what I know in the future and will use my kiwis on the next as a size one!

The wambamboos ARE huge compared to anything

kazza, i had some QFs. can't say i ever measured them but didn't notice them shrinking through washing. Only as DS2 got bigger IYSWIM.

I think for them to shrink 3 or 4 inches you would need to be washing them on a very very high wash!

Were they right when you bought them? could your DS have put on weight since you bought them and thats what has happened size wise?

kazzadotcom · 19/09/2007 16:17

He has had a growth spurt recently but is not a big baby, I suppose taller than average but average weight. He is 22lbs and 16months. I have some size 2 tots bots which still fit with no problems.

I don't think they were right when I bought them but there is nothing I can do now. little kiwi just insist I have shrunk them! The highest I washed them was 60. Funny thing is the booster for the light are longer than the nappy!

Kazza, did you know the boosters are supposed to be folded in half? They are very long otherwise!

kazzadotcom · 19/09/2007 18:33

I do know that :0 I just have very odd looking nappies short and wide!
