9mo Headbutts

Is this normal? He literally head butts every thing. Usually when he gets told not to do something.
He was crawling around and went to grab a wire so when I said no he stopped and head butted the floor more than once. They're light but still concern me.
Then he goes in his cot and will bang his head at the end in his sleep but when he wakes up he stands up but if you don't get him quick enough he stands there and head butts the bar Sad

Interesting as my DC1 did this in temper for a short while. Do you give him any attention for it or simply ignore?

Gosh this brings back memories! Headbutting the pavement outside school, headbutting the supermarket floor! He grew out of it around 2yo or so, iirc.

Never in anger, just wallyish behaviour Grin

He's 8yo now and no sign of a flat forehead!

Thank you for your replies.
When he does it I always say I always gasp and say no you'll hurt yourself. He just does it again.

I'd just complete ignore or if you find that difficult, walk out of the room. They like to have a little reaction from Mum and if the reaction stops, they usually forget all about doing it Smile

Okay I'll try my best Grin thank you very much!
