Please please help

my 5 yr old has suddenly started to be sneaky e.g. last night managed to get some chocolate and ate it while the rest of the hse was asleep. she is also lying to me about doing things.

we've taken away her all her treats this week ie staying up late, watching tv, its obviously not having an effect because she is still being sneaky. its 4 days in a row now that she has done something sneaky.

should i try the marbles in the jar? any suggestions would be great.

Sorry if you've already considered this - any chance she is hungry?? I went through a few growth spurts and had to sneak food.

Also how about taking the focus off the negative ie. punishment, and praising the positive - she needs to feel its worth being truthful so she learns its a good thing

I know this sort of stuff can drive you bonkers
