Guilty

Today my 2 year old son managed to open the door and went for a little stroll

I was screaming for him and called the police but my neighbour found him walking along

I feel so upset and guilty and a bad mum

He is hard work and a little terror but the guilt won't leave I should have been looking after him

Please don't be too hard on yourself, he's safe and I'm sure you'll keep the door locked from now on.

You definitely aren't the first ad you won't be the last Thanks

This happened to my friends little boy who went out the back door into the neighbours garden. Don’t worry it happens. Sometimes you have to take your eye off the ball for a second and that’s all it takes. My little girl grabbed a baking tray straight out of the oven once too and I felt awful! Still do actually but these things just do happen

My 2 year old DS patted the barbecue yesterday while it was cooking a whole chicken, I literally took my eyes off him for a second. He was fine, he pulled his hands away sharpish, but still it could have been so much worse. Solidarity OP, toddlers are surely sent to try our sanity.
