Near 10 month old won’t eat solids

IT IS SO FRUSTRATING Sad

Normally 3 meals a day, solids, finger foods, mush and purées - eats them all up.

Over the past 3/4 days, will only eat breadsticks, dry cornflakes and toast. She even refused scrambled eggs today and they are her favourite.

She just sits in her high chair and cries and throws anything we offer onto the floor.

She still drinks all her milk when that’s offered but no more than if she was still eating 3 meals a day.

Is this another one of those bloody phases that we just have to ride out? I’m just worried she isn’t getting enough food. She’s teething at the moment too, but already has 9 teeth and we had no food issues with any of them.

Thanks!

That happened with the oldest child I look after, I think she was around 8/9 months when she just stopped. The health visitor said to let her eat the breadsticks but to keep giving /offering or putting the food on the high chair. But also to not fill her up on sweet yoghurts etc.

Happy to tell you she soon outgrew it within a few weeks

Thanks Going, good to know it’s not too worrying then. We have yoghurts for after each meal, but she won’t even eat them at the moment Hmm

Thanks for replying.

Could she be teething? DD refuses food when she is teething or any sort of cold. She has more milk and bits to nibble but nothing substantial. Usually lasts around a week and then she gets back to normal.
