Sun hats that stay on

We used to get sun hats with straps under the chin like the one in this link:

Oh I can help with this one!

From years in nurseries and my own child, the best solution I’ve found is to use a muslin cloth tied pirate style at the back, for some reason I’ve found most babies/toddlers do t seem to mind it and generally ignore it. I was also very clear about no hat/no garden or no hat=sit in the buggy with the hood up.

The trick that worked with DS was to get the trilby-style hats in a bigger size. Put one on him for a joke in the supermarket, he kept it on all the way round, so I bought it when we reached the checkout.
