Help! What can 3yo and 11mo play together?

Or at least not fight over?

Dd is 3.5, DS is 11 months and I spend all day managing conflict over toys. I get them to share sometimes but some of DD's toys are not suitable for a baby and sometimes we're all just too tired.

Is there something they can play with together? Being in the bath together and playing peepo is about it right now.

Any ideas?

Following. My older DD is very rough with the baby.

Have similar age gap here and it is difficult.

Water play works well - big tray of water with bath toys

Mud is also a winner - soil and water in tray with construction vehicle toys

I have a similar age gap and was going to suggest water play too. That's working well for us. Have also made a cardboard house and they happily coexist in there.

Reading books works and getting DD to teach/show DS things.

Same here, 3 & 1 year old. I have just bought a magic drawing mat which can both share and a paint my piggy bank, put a mat on the floor, a paint brush each and hope for 5 min of quietness.

I had that age gap and it was difficult, they didn’t really play together until much older. There is a good book called the Siblings Busy Book which gives loads of ideas for age gap activities. www.amazon.co.uk/Siblings-Busy-Book-Lisa-Hanson/dp/0881665304?tag=mumsnetforu03-21
I remember playing “Baby Jake” from the CBeebies programme where the three year old got to be Isaac or whatever the brother is called and the baby was Jake, we put the duvets on the floor and went on a “snowy adventure”.

Similar age gap here, they both like the sand table and when we filled it with water instead that also worked.
